What a lovely surprise to see reader Mark Kerry's picture of the Oxford Canal approaching Somerton (Oxford Mail, January 20).
I was brought up in Somerton during the war and lived opposite Somerton station in the house named The School House.
I will cut it out and keep it. Such happy memories.
