TWO women are in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after their cars were involved in a head-on crash on the A40 in Oxfordshire last night.
The incident, involving a 22-year-old woman and a 50-year-old woman, happened on the A40 westbound between Eynsham roundabout and Witney, at about 11.30pm.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene of the crash with an appliance from Witney, one from Eynsham and the rescue render from Kidlington.
Firefighters used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the women from their vehicles and they were taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital by Oxfordshire Ambulance Service.
