RAIL services between Oxfordshire and London Marylebone are still suffering severe disruption this afternoon after the failure of the signalling system in north London.
Only one train an hour is operating between London and Oxfordshire stations.
Passengers are being advised to use alternative routes where possible, with Chiltern tickets being accepted on First Great Western and Virgin Trains services from Banbury, Bicester and Oxford.
A spokesman for Chiltern Railways said this afternoon: "Following a major problem with signalling equipment between Wembley and West Ruislip earlier today, our services are now returning to normal.
"Some disruption is still likely for the next few hours as trains and staff are not yet all back in the right places."
