OXFORD: A chorus of more than 850 singers reverberated around Christ Church Cathedral for its annual Service of Nine Lessons.
Some 30 singers led the service on Tuesday night, which is held to celebrate the birth of Jesus prior to Christmas.
Christ Church precentor the Rev John Paton said: “The place was packed and we really raised the roof. There was a tremendous amount of joy and goodwill.”
