A LORRY containing egg boxes has caught fire on the A40 near Witney.
Fire crews were called at 10.37am to the blaze on the Ducklington slip road on the A40.
The road was closed in both directions, leaving traffic queuing back to Eynsham.
Traffic ground to a halt as smoke billowed across the road.
The road reopened at about 1.30pm and traffic is now easing according to reports
Four fire engines tackled the blaze.
