HOUSING minister Brandon Lewis visited Bicester yesterday to find out about plans for 13,000 new homes in the town.
Last week saw Bicester named as a future ‘garden city’ by Chancellor George Osborne, with the announcement of a £100m Government investment to help build the homes, plus create 21,500 jobs and a new motorway junction. This prompted Mr Lewis’s tour.
Cherwell District Council leader Barry Wood said: “We were delighted to accept Mr Lewis’s invitation to visit the town and sharing our vision with him.”
