FROM the horrors of the Bullfinch investigation, there is at least some encouragement that sexual predators who groom vulerable children are facing justice.
The Kingfisher Unit, set up in the wake of Bullfinch, has worked hard to identify and support possible victims of abuse.
The case of sexual predator Archie Collicutt demonstrates the importance of their endeavours. Victims of the 18-year-old paedophile contacted dedicated social workers, who gave them the help needed.
They supported the victims to the extent that they agreed to go to the police and give their traumatic evidence.
The result is the caging of Collicutt.
The case will hopefully encourage other victims to come forward and lead authorities to prosecute other sexual predators.
