Drivers suffered major delays yesterday morning after a lorry overturned near junction 10 of the M40 north of Bicester.
The A43 northbound was closed following the incident between junction 10 at Cherwell Valley Services and the Baynards Green roundabout.
Police said they were called just before 5.30am and that the lorry was on its side, blocking both lanes of the A43.
Spokeswoman Rhianne Pope said the driver had minor injuries and was taken to the Horton Hospital in Banbury. The road reopened at 8.50am.
Also, on the A420 near Faringdon fire crews tackled a lorry blaze in a layby.
A spokeswoman for Oxfordshire Fire Service said firefighters were called to the layby near the BP garage, close to the Buckland turn, at about 7.30am.
She said the driver got out of the lorry before firefighters arrived and was not hurt.
