TWO county schools will enjoy a night of awe-inspiring arias when they take to the stage with the Welsh National Opera.
Youngsters from West Oxford’s North Hinksey Primary School and Ducklington Primary School will join the cast for a one-off show, My Perfect World, at Oxford’s New Theatre tonight. The company is touring the UK and working with schools on the show, about a former refugee, Jenny, who reflects on her life in a world where performance only exists in social media.
Fran Aquilina, who takes on the lead role, said she was thrilled to rehearse with Hinksey pupils on Tuesday. The schools will appear in an act each where pupils will sing and move around the action.
She said: “It was great. They were so well prepared and they were really keen and enthusiastic.
“They brought it to life.”
