LAW firm Withy King has snapped up Headington-based solicitors Edward Pilling & Co.
It is the second purchase in less than a year for the firm, which has offices in Oxford, Abingdon and Thame.
It took over Wheatley-based Whetter Duckworth Fowler in December.
All seven staff at Edward Pilling & Co, which specialises in property, wills and probate, will join Withy King.
They will continue to work from offices in London Road but under the Withy King banner. Edward Pilling, who heads the firm, will stay on as a consultant.
Withy King also has offices in Swindon and Bath and employs 305 people, 76 in Oxfordshire.
It won eight top rankings in the latest edition of Legal 500, the law industry’s bible which acts as a guide to the UK’s best lawyers.
Its commercial property, employment, personal injury, clinical negligence, family, contentious probate and racing and bloodstock teams were all highly rated.
Andrew Chalk, partner and head of residential property at Withy King, said: “We are delighted to welcome Edward Pilling and his team.
“The firm is well respected locally and its services complement our own offering.”
