A former director of Oxford Imps drama group has called on dramatists across the county to try and help a drama wardrobe which is being evicted.
Tanner Efinger, former arts manager at Oxford’s Jam Factory cafe, said the plight of Oxfordshire Drama Wardrobe “tugged at his heart strings”.
The costume rental service, which has been running since 1968 and now run by two retired volunteers, has been given until the end of September to find a new home.
The women, Alex Graham and Carole Johnson, said they were unable to pay the rent on their former aircraft hangar home in Steventon.
Mr Eginger said: “Anyone in the arts should be interested in this important resource to the community. The troops need to come out.”
