May I congratulate Dan Rivers and Ben Wilson on their wonderful success at the Commonwealth Games.
I was amazed at Didcot Town Council’s statement that few would recognise them in the streets and had nothing planned to honour them.
Would few have recognised Sir Roger Bannister, Henry Cooper or Steve Redgrave etc before they excelled in their own sport? I think the majority of the people of Didcot are proud of these young men and would have supported any sort of acknowledgement of their success from Didcot Town.
