Sir – Yet again you publish letters critical of Christopher Gray (July 10). In the face of persistent criticism from readers over many years, the continued allocation of a full page of newsprint to his weekly pompous ego trip can only mean that the editor is a sadist and/or that Mr Gray is very cheap to employ.
The real puzzle is that The Oxford Times has many excellent writers available whose work appears regularly in the Oxfordshire Limited Edition.
Sylvia Vetta, Denise Barkley, Richard O Smith: their articles are a pleasure to read, informative, entertaining, well-researched. Why not give that space to some of them?
