THOUSANDS of bikers got a warm welcome yesterday when they arrived in Oxfordshire for the Ride of Respect.
The annual event is going from strength to strength and is an eye-catching way of raising funds for servicemen and women, and their families, through the Royal British Legion.
Lots of people lined the route from Abingdon to Carterton to show their support for the bikers, and for thousands of military personnel on bases around the county or in war zones including Afghanistan.
Drivers who were delayed by the convoy should remember that the ride supports a very good cause.
