People opposed to the Government’s badger cull marched through Oxfordshire on their way to London.

The 12 protesters set off from Gloucester on Thursday and will walk a total of 112 miles to Westminster over the “barbaric” policy.

On Sunday they marched down Cornmarket Street and George Street in Oxford, and were last night due to arrive in Wallingford.

The Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs piloted culls in Gloucestershire and Somerset, saying it was needed to tackle the spread of bovine tuberculosis, caused by badgers.
