SO THE city council has splashed out thousands of pounds on an ‘adapted’ Citroen Berlingo in an attempt to keep a sharp eye on non-payers and over-stayers in our local car parks, have they?
What a disgrace.
You’d have thought they’d have at least gone to see if they could have used an Oxford-built Mini Clubman to do the job, and at least had taxpayers’ money ‘recycled’ into a major local employer’s coffers, rather than it being handed over to, dare I say it, those Frenchies.
A very poor show, I must say, even worse than the mayor’s Toyota Prius which replaced the FC 1 Daimler a few years ago.
So much for our city council supporting local businesses.
