A 34-year-old man who denies causing a crash by pulling the handbrake on in his girlfriend’s car while she was driving has appeared at Oxford Crown Court.
The trial of Terry Stoute, of Cresswell Close, Reading, who used to live in Kidlington, was set on Monday and will take place within the two weeks from June 2.
He denies causing a danger to other road users on the A40 between Cutteslowe roundabout and Marston by pulling on the handbrake in his ex-girlfriend Lisa-Marie Dancer’s car, causing a crash on May 16 last year.
Stoute also denies damaging his former girlfriend’s property, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier named Chester, on the same date.
Stoute was released on conditional bail.
