Regarding Labour party people celebrating the Witney election win, “Even in a true blue district we can make a difference” (March 6): Labour must surely also be celebrating their control of Oxford City Council and the horrific events reported by solicitor John McNulty on page 16 in his “Legal Challenge” column.
Elysha Britnell with daugthers Mya, two and Lola, four months, is fighting eviction from her Cowley home and has refused the offer of a move to Birmingham
It seems Labour-controlled Oxford City Council is forcing single local mothers of young children to relocate to Birmingham, well away from all family and friends’ support.
Labour seems to be ‘cleansing’ the poor out of Oxford.
This is totally shocking.
So what is this difference they can make in Witney then, if we consider the horrors happening right now in Oxford under Labour?
