Why was road shut?
Concerns have been raised about the closure of Kennington Road, Oxford, which re-opened yesterday afternoon.
The road out of Kennington was closed this week because of the floods.
But residents said the road had been clear of flood water for two days.
Resident Tim Firth asked: “Why is Kennington Road still shut? No flooding there for two days now. It’s just causing delays.”
Oxfordshire County Council said it could only reopen it after safety checks had been carried out.
