PEOPLE in Oxfordshire are being told to expect more heavy rain today after relief from storms yesterday.
The Met Office is forecasting rainfall throughout the day and into tomorrow morning, with a drier day on Sunday expected.
Met Office spokeswoman Laura Young said: “We are expecting between 15mm to 20mm across the country, including Oxfordshire, as this weather system moves through.
“There will be strong winds and it will hit between 9am to midday and last throughout the day into the evening and into tomorrow morning.”
She said rain would continue to fall tomorrow but Sunday would be dry.
The river level at Kings Mill in Oxford was 2.2m as of 11.15am yesterday, which is higher than normal.
The highest river level recorded at this location is 2.69m and the river level reached 2.58m in July 2007.
