I THINK it’s great that after six weeks of flooding Mr Cameron has finally visited the Somerset Levels — what did he do — walk!

Fair play to him for going to a specially arranged meeting with selected residents.

I take it he was not man enough to meet the people who may have told him some home-truths, still I expect he has been busy drumming up financial aid from other countries willing to help the people of Somerset (as if that would happen), as we have given aid to others time and time again.

If it hadn’t been for Prince Charles getting involved and giving Mr Cameron a kick up the backside I wonder if he would have gone at all.

There is one thing I do find has been ignored by the press, how many of the people in Somerset have been unable to earn a living for the past six weeks?

Have they had their wages supplemented?
