Traffic restrictions stayed in place in the High Street yesterday despite the closure of the flooded Abingdon Road in Oxford.
Last month, the restriction was lifted when Abingdon Road and Botley Road were both closed at the same time because of water levels.
A statement on Oxfordshire County Council’s website said: “The restrictions have only been lifted in previous periods of flooding when both Abingdon Road and Botley Road have closed.
“Keeping the restrictions in place allow for easier access for buses to and from the city.”
