WHY can I see another ‘Castle Mill Flats’ fiasco occurring with Oxford City Council’s decision to build the ‘Northern Gateway Project’ (along with the Barton Park project)?
I suspect that despite the offerings of ‘public consultation’ (read tick box exercise) those in office will merely steam roller through the project as it is probably a ‘done deal’ already with developers lined up, diggers at the ready.
Mr Bennett has little faith in the City Council's consultation process
It is only many years later when these ‘projects’ cause nothing but grief and hassle that it will be considered as ‘a bit of a mistake’.
Mr Cook and his cohorts will be long gone when the Pear Tree/Wolvercote Roundabout area (not noted for its light traffic) has completely ground to a halt.
Has Mr Cook never heard just how many times the BBC national and local traffic news reports of ‘problems at Pear Tree’ each year?
I despair…
