Sir – Another sorry chapter in the Castle Mill, Port Meadow, saga with the city council and the University refusing to apologise to the people of Oxford for this disgraceful debacle.
If I were a cynic, I would suggest that both organisations received legal advice telling them that an apology would leave them open to litigation.
