Bollards should be in place by May, reader is told
I AM still fighting for a safe passage for Kidlington residents in our high street.
Over the last two weeks, I have made seven calls to Cherwell District Council asking for some answers. I was pushed from pillar to post or completely ignored. Eventually they admitted they have contracted the bollard saga out to a construction firm in Kidlington.
I have spoken to a partner there and have been told they have taken over the discussions with Oxford Highways, and hope to have a positive result soon.
If this happens they hope to install the bollards by May 2014.
They said they will send me an update in writing as soon as possible.
