I ENCLOSE two photographs from historian Jim Brown, who lives at Fernham, near Faringdon, and has a large collection of pictures of the Faringdon area.
This fire broke out in a barn on John Luker’s farm at Longcot, near Faringdon, on November 6, 1966.
I like the silhouette effect as Faringdon firemen fought the blaze and farm workers removed equipment.
