Rose Hill is getting all geared up for its annual light switch-on celebration.
The trees in The Oval will light up the estate on Saturday – switched on by Father Christmas himself.
Youngsters will be able to meet Santa, who will be handing out presents.
There will also be carol singing, music and an international food festival.
Fran Gardner, Rose Hill Community Worker at GreenSquare, has organised the event with funding provided by a Big Lottery Fund grant.
Ms Gardner said: “Our light switch-on event has now become a tradition in Rose Hill and this year promises to be yet another fantastic community celebration.
“Although everyone in our community celebrates Christmas in different ways, this time of year is perfect for people of all cultures to come together with family and friends, to celebrate, socialise and have fun. I hope the residents enjoy getting into the spirit of things.”
