SINCE rescuing six ex-battery hens, I lost all of them to foxes. One was taken during a sunny morning while I was getting a cup of coffee.

I now have five more this year and only let them out of their run, into the garden and also have a fence around them while someone is watching them.

Some years ago I kept hens but never lost any to a fox. I wonder if there are more foxes around because of the fox hunting ban.

Has anyone else any ideas on this issue?
