Online ethical investment firm Ethex, based at the Old Music Hall in Cowley Road, has raised more than £1m since launching in January.
Founder Jamie Hartzell, said: “This is fantastic news and shows that we’re filling a key gap in the market.”
Investments range from £20 to £100,000. People investing £250 or less account for almost a fifth of the total with most in the £500 to £5,000 range.
A total of 38 per cent of the cash was placed with Ecology Building Society, Charity Bank or credit unions.
