Drivers are again facing delays on the A34 this weekend due to maintenance work and the transport of a huge transformer from Didcot Power Station.
The southbound carriageway will be blocked from 7pm tonight as the last of three 600-tonne transformers are moved from the site, where the old coal-fired station is being decommissioned.
Police said the convoy will travel at a maximum speed of 10mph and will effectively close the southbound A34 from Didcot to the M4 junction north of Newbury.
Diversions will also be in place from 10pm tonight to 6am on Monday as the northbound carriageway between the M4 and the Milton Interchange is closed for maintenance work.
