TESCO has applied for an alcohol premises licence for its new store on the site of the former Fox and Hounds pub in Abingdon Road, Oxford.
The retailer has asked Oxford City Council for permission to sell alcohol at the store from 6am to 11pm, Monday to Sunday.
Tesco won permission to demolish the former pub and build an Express store with four flats above and nine parking spaces last year. The work is expected to be completed in February.
