AN AWARD-WINNING charity is offering free help to Oxford people burdened with debts this Christmas.

Christians Against Poverty has 50 centres across the UK, offering free counselling to people in debt.

Since it was set up in 1996, Cap has helped 14,000 people and has won a Centre for Social Justice award, organised by former Conservative leader Iain Duncan Smith.

Oxford-based Cap worker Marc Parfitt visits clients in their own home to discuss their finances and help them become debt-free within five years. For more details of Cap's services, call Mr Parfitt on 01865 200552 or email oxford@capuk.org
