A CHEERLEADING club is calling for new members to help them reach new heights.
The All Star Heroes squad, which practises at Oxford Brookes’ University Harcourt Hill Campus gym, was founded in October last year and already has more than 30 members.
Coach Sophie Welton said the group is now looking for new members to help form two teams.
She said: “We have a massive age range so we are trying to split ourselves in half and have a younger and an older team.”
The coach said cheerleading was a good way for members to keep fit, adding: “They love it. They cannot get enough.”
Evie Lambert, 10, from Summertown, said: “It’s great exercise and great fun with my friends.”
Her mum Katie Lambert added: “It is tremendous exercise and offers a real sense of teamwork and achievement. And it is huge amounts of fun.”
The club takes ages from 10 upwards.
