YOU might not see T-Birds and Pink Ladies in Bicester but you can recapture a bit of 1950s America.
Yesterday saw the opening of Dean’s Diner, in Pioneer Square – an American diner themed after that iconic decade – creating 20 new jobs.
Manager Iwona Szlaszynska said: “It was our first day and was quite busy which is good.
“We have got a jukebox playing hits from the 1950s until now and we are serving up burgers, hot dogs and the most amazing milkshakes.
“It is relaxed and everyone has been having a good time.”
Bicester’s £70m Pioneer Square development opened in July. Restaurants Prezzo and Nandos are expected to open on the site within weeks. Clothing store Peacocks is opening today.
