The family of a Didcot student killed in a motorcycle accident have donated money collected in his memory to a local doctors' surgery.
More than £1,000 was given at the funeral of Grant Embling, a student at Oxford and Cherwell Valley College in Oxford, pictured, in October and his family presented the cheque to Woodlands Surgery, in Wantage Road, Didcot.
His mother Jan said: "Grant had a series of illnesses including ME, bad asthma and migraines. The surgery had always been marvellous to him."
Dr Barbara Batty thanked the Embling family for the donation. She added: "We will be using the money to benefit patients."
Grant was killed in an accident on the A4130 in Didcot in September. Since his death, Mrs Embling and her husband Mike have campaigned for improved safety measures on the road to the A34 at Milton interchange.
Mrs Embling is due to meet with Oxfordshire County Council highways officials, and councillor Terry Joslin, after Christmas, to discuss road improvements.
