TWO photographic studios in Oxford have closed suddenly, leaving dozens of customers without photos taken as Christmas presents.
Six staff at Olan Mills photographic studios also face a bleak Christmas, with no jobs and little chance of recouping lost wages, according to the accountants who have taken over the company.
Administrators KPMG said the business had made "significant losses" and would fold.
Olan Mills had studios in London Road, Headington, and at Mothercare at the Oxford Retail Park in Cowley.
Photographer Chris Jones, who joined the Headington studio three months ago, said: "I'm owed two weeks' wages, and I've been told there's no chance of getting the money."
He fears that customers will be unable to collect photos taken for Christmas because the studios are now locked up. A helpline for customers has been set up on 08457 585351.
