A decision on the application for Oxford's Gladiator Club to become an asset of community value is expected today.
The Gladiator Sports and Social Club building was put up for sale last month by its owner The Gladiator Trust for £1.25m.
The Gladiator Club, a separate social club, has operated from the site since the 1940s and applied to Oxford City Council to register the site as a community asset.
If successful it gives the opportunity for communities to “stop the clock” on the sale for a further six months.
