OXFORD: A driver was fined £250 after hitting a cyclist at a junction of Botley Road and driving away.
Annette Craik, of Baronhurst Drive, Chalgrove, admitted failing to stop after the accident on April 19 at the junction of Lamarsh Road and Botley Road, Oxford, failing to report the incident and careless driving.
The hearing at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Thursday heard that cyclist Peter Hausman suffered cuts and bruises and his bike was damaged in the collision.
Craik, 70, received seven points on her licence and was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £20 victim surcharge on top of the fine.
