OXFORD United are ‘too kind’. No doubt, Accrington will be most grateful to them for not winning, but for a team challenging for automatic promotion, the result is just not good enough.

Any team rooted to the bottom of the league with a meagre three points at this stage of the season should be pulverised.

All we heard about last week was how rubbishy the changing facilities were and how playing at such a place diminishes enthusiasm. It’s therefore most peculiar how several other clubs have managed good results playing at the same ground.

To be a success, it’s imperative that a team capitalises on those sort of games.

In a situation where goal difference could decide who gets promoted, ruthlessness is required, not ‘friendliness’ or compassion.
