Sir - Can anything be done to protect the safety of elderly pedestrians walking along the Oxford pavements? Several of my octogenarian friends have been terrified by close brushes with cyclists riding on these pavements.
During the dark hours my friends use the pavements at their peril. I would be very happy to contribute £50 towards a fund for purchasing bells and lamps for indigent Oxford cyclists.
