Sir - The residents of our four blocks of flats want to give them names instead of the current letters. The usual botanical ones have been suggested but so has 'Rosebery' for one of the blocks since this was the original name of the development. Even as a Liberal, I have to admit that the Earl of Rosebery was one of the most incompetent Prime Ministers this country has had the misfortune to suffer so should we use the names of duff Prime Ministers?
What about the other three blocks? Balfour and Addington come to mind for two. Could your readers help? Note, though, that since we have a range of political views, maybe recent PMs should be omitted!
Roger Jenking, Headington
