Chipping Norton's literary festival has become a registered charity.
The festival, which is now in its third year, also has a new chairman of the board of trustees, Martin Neild.
Mr Neild was the chief executive of UK publishing giant Hodder & Stoughton.
He said: “The festival already punches well above its weight, and we are developing exciting plans for the future.”
The next festival runs from April 24, 2014 for four days.
Richard Dawkins, Julian Fellowes, and Fern Britton were among the celebrity authors at this year’s festival.
The festival was recently given a £500 community activities grant by West Oxfordshire District Council.
