FAMILIES will finally be able to see the wood for the trees after a copse in Carterton was brought back to life.
Hazel Copse, in Lords Close, is now open after being cleared by teams from RAF Brize Norton and other organisations.
New rubbish bins have been installed and natural paths laid.
And yesterday the copse was opened to families in the area.
Mum Alison Hardiker, 33, who lives in Bovingdon Road, visited with her daughter Tamsin, two.
She said: “It’s really nice up there now. I must admit it’s something I just didn’t know was there before.
“Now they’ve got all the benches in I imagine it will be a popular place for people."
