ENTERTAINER Keith Harris and puppet Orville helped raise cash at a Bicester charity auction.
The ventriloquist entertained the audience at The Cooper School event on Saturday.
It was organised by Steve and Trudi Carpenter whose 10-year-old son Adam has muscle-wasting Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.
Prizes such as a helicopter flight and a gym membership helped raise £3,700 for the research charity Action Duchenne.
Mrs Carpenter, 43, thanked the 230 people who attended.
She said: “Everyone had a brilliant night. The auctioneer was outstanding. He was a real professional so he got everybody bidding and took a lot for the auction.”
But she said Mr Harris and puppets Orville and Cuddles the monkey, were the stars.
She said: “A lot of people came just to see them.”
The Langford family organised another auction with the entertainer six years ago and raised more than £3,500.
