AT last somebody has seen sense regarding Wolvercote paper mill site and the need to block plans for new housing (Oxford Mail, September 13).
Perhaps the Environment Agency recalls what happened at Botley a year or so back when new dwellings were built on a higher level causing catastrophic flooding, resulting in costly repair work and despair and worry to many residents.
This will happen in Wolvercote if no new flood defences and drainage systems are installed in Lower Wolvercote.
