Thames Valley Police has recorded 40 thefts from vehicles in two weeks in the city.
There were 13 sat navs stolen, as well as one rucksack, one handbag, one laptop, three wallets, one bag of clothing, one radio and three mobile phones.
A further three vehicles were broken into but had nothing stolen from them.
Four commercial vans had tools taken, one van had parcels stolen and another a pallet of coffee.
Ten vehicles had number plates removed.
Of the 40, 17 vehicles were left insecure, nine windows were smashed to gain entry, two were forced open with a tool and in two case it is unknown how entry was gained.
