OXFORD MAGISTRATES

Joanne Mason, 38, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted stealing alcohol worth £150 and alcohol worth £100 from Marks and Spencer, in the Oxford Retail Park, Ambassador Avenue, Cowley, Oxford, on May 26. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Oyewumi Oyedokun, 27, of Ladenham Road, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in George Street, Oxford on August 18. Had 40 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 12-month driving ban and told to pay a £145 fine, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Robert McAdam, 65, of Craven Common, Uffington, near Faringdon, admitted being the owner of a dog which was dangerous and not kept under proper control in Baulking on May 3. Order made that the dog be fitted with a muzzle and held on a lead at all times in a public place.

Stanilaw Pozniecki, 37, of Charter Way, Wallingford, admitted drink-driving in Crowmarsh Hill, Wallingford on August 28. Had 125 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 29-month driving ban and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Community order made with 200-hour unpaid work requirement.

Joanne Webb 37, of Dashwood Road, Oxford, stole clothing worth £52 from Matalan, and clothing and toys worth £15.97 from Asda, in the Templars Shopping Park, Between Towns Road, Oxford, on July 9. Also admitted stealing a bottle of perfume worth £30 from Boots, in Oxford Retail Park, Ambassador Avenue, Cowley, Oxford, on August 16. Community order made with drug rehabilitation requirement and nine-month supervision requirement. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.

Gabriel Chamberlain, 39, of O’Hanlon House, Luther Street, Oxford, convicted of stealing a bicycle worth £260 from the Said Business School, in Park End Street, Oxford, on May 21. Community order made with a two-month curfew requirement. Told to pay £260 compensation, a £60 victims’ surcharge and £100 costs.

Stephen Rushmer, 49, of no fixed address, admitted using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment alarm or distress in Warneford Lane, Headington, Oxford on August 27. Fined £100 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.

Terrance Kerrigan, 49, of O’Hanlon House, Luther Street, Oxford, admitted being drunk in a public place, in a Tesco Express in Oxford, on September 13. Fined £80 and told to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £25 costs.

Mark Langston, 50, of no fixed address, admitted possessing a kitchen knife in a public place in St Aldate’s police station, Oxford on September 12. Given an eight-week prison sentence because he was recently released from prison for similar offences.

Miguel Abreu, 21, of Bathing Place Court, Witney, admitted assault by beating in Botley Road, Oxford on June 16. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge. Fined £150 and told to pay £150 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Alex Walker, 32, of Clarks Row, Oxford, admitted stealing a torch worth £35 from Objects of Use, Market Street, Oxford, on September 13. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay £35 compensation and a £15 victims’ surcharge.

Elizabeth Callinicos, 47, of Clare, Thame, admitted drink-driving in Watlington Road, Lewknor on August 4. Had 120 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Given a 29-month driving ban and told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs. Community order made with 100 hours of unpaid work.

Eric Mathu, 37, of Oliver Road, Oxford, admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis in Oxford on August 26. Fined £110, a £20 victims’ surcharge and banned from driving for three years.

Charlotte McCollin, 21, of Blay Close, Cowley, Oxford, admitted breaching her antisocial behaviour order after using profane, abusive and insulting language at a police officer while drunk in Cowley Road, Oxford on July 7. Community order made with a supervision requirement. Told to pay a £60 victims’ surcharge.

Leon Bateman, 21, of Bayswater Road, Barton, Oxford, admitted stealing a bicycle in Ock Street, Abingdon on August 11. Fined £70, £50 compensation, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Graham Coles, 48, of St Mary’s Road, Oxford, admitted shoplifting a DVD worth £4.99 from The Co-op, in Templars Square, Cowley, Oxford, on August 24. Given a six-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Ryan Fry, 19, of Hughes Close, Charlbury, admitted using threatening words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Oxford on August 26. Fined £75, a £20 victims’ surcharge, and £85 costs.

Jahan Khan, 23, of Lambrick Way, Abingdon, admitted possession of cannabis in Oxford Road, Abingdon on August 20. Fined £75, a £20 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Hugh White, 51, of Littleworth Park, Littleworth, Wheatley, admitted being drunk and disorderly in High Street, Wheatley on August 22. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £85 costs.

Thomas Heasley, 20, of Rau Court, Caversfield, Bicester, was convicted of using threatening, abusive, or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear on April 1 in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford. Fined £80, ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £620 costs. Also convicted of assaulting a constable in the execution of his/her duty on April 1 in Hythe Bridge Street, Oxford. Fined £120 and ordered to pay £50 compensation.

Graham Jackson, 32, of Sherwood Avenue, Abingdon, was convicted of possessing a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place on June 7 in Oxpens Road, Oxford. Fined £165, ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge and £200 costs.

Adam Nash, of Caldecott Chase, Abingdon, admitted stealing two packets of razor blades to the values of £41.98 from Boots, in Market Place, Faringdon, on April 11. Also admitted stealing a hallmarked silver and cut glass inkwell to the value of £450 from Scriptum, in Oxford, on July 17. Committed to prison for six months for being a “prolific offender”.

Hannah Booker, 19, of Alice Smith Square, Littlemore, admitted stealing a mobile phone belonging to another person on February 26 in Oxford. Discharged conditionally for two years. Ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge and £200 costs.

Banbury Magistrates

David Webb, 27, of Gatteridge Street, Banbury, admitted driving while disqualified at Alkerton on July 4. He also admitted driving without insurance. He was sent to prison for 150 days as he has seven previous convictions for the same crime. The judge ordered Webb to pay £85 costs and banned him from driving for two years.
