Thieves stole a large amount of cash from a 63-year-old woman’s handbag in Bicester.
The woman was distracted by two men in their early 20s as she passed them in Piggy Lane on Friday at 10.20am.
She later noticed a slit in her bag and saw that her purse was missing.
Officers have not revealed exactly how much was stolen.
Police asked anyone with information to call them 101.
