IT felt like the 1940s when staff at Rose Hill’s Helen and Douglas House shop sipped tea in period dress.
Helen and Douglas House hospice in Magdalen Road, East Oxford, launched its Tea at Three campaign on Wednesday, encouraging people to host tea parties to raise money for the hospice for children and young adults.
Kate Sankey, the charity’s community and events fundraiser, said it was a “lovely” event. She added: “It had a really nice community feel, with people dropping in and out of the shop to have tea and cake.
“People just donated what they liked and it was lovely.”
A few dozen people visited during the vintage tea party, which ran from 3pm until 4pm.
