POLICE station canteens in Oxfordshire could be axed in an attempt to save millions of pounds without cutting jobs.
The move to close canteens is one of several ideas to be considered by Thames Valley Police Authority when it plans its budgets early next year.
If it goes ahead, the canteens at the police headquarters in Kidlington, and stations in St Aldate's and Cowley in Oxford, and Witney, Banbury and Abingdon, will be shut.
Thames Valley Police Acting Chief Constable Sara Thornton said: "We will still feed officers who are on operations and those doing training which requires physical activity."
